you can call me scorpio, i'm a 24-year-old hobbyist furry artist from the midwest. my main focus is drawing original characters, but i hope to learn environments as well!

what i will/won't draw
☆ i will draw any non-human animal! i'm most familiar with canines and felines, but will give any species a try.
☆ i will not draw in other styles besides my own. i typically adjust characters' colors slightly.
☆ i do not offer nsfw or fetish art commissions. i will include some blood or minor injuries if requested, but i do not draw heavy gore. scars and healed/non-bloody missing limbs are fine!
☆ i will not work from written descriptions or AI generated references. i will only work with traditional references if they are very cleanly photographed/scanned (digital color palette is preferred).
☆ i may turn down very complex characters; if you feel your character has complicated patterns or features, please send me a message to check before ordering.☆ very simple backgrounds are included in the base price of icons and headshots. these can be a simple sky, a pride flag, gradient/solid color or a photo. i will only use photos from free stock sites such as unsplash; i do not use anything from google or pinterest due to copyright.
☆ if requesting a simple scene, however, i'm happy to use any photo as a reference! please note that i do take some artistic liberties with scenes; it will likely not look exactly like the photo(s) you provide.
☆ simple scenes are just that; they're simple! complex environments such as forests, cityscapes or interiors will be simplified to match the style of my examples.
☆ i do not offer complex scenes at this time, but hope to in the future once i've gotten more practice.
turnaround + other info
☆ i ask that you give me up to 2 months to complete your commission; though it will likely be done much sooner! i will reach out to you if there are any delays.
☆ i do work full-time outside of art, so please be patient. commissions are worked on during breaks at my job, after work, and on my off days.
☆ i will send a WIP at the sketch stage. if you would like a large change such as the expression, please ask at this point. i will send another WIP once the flat colors are done.
☆ you may ask for an update at any time! i will get back to you as soon as possible. i also have a trello linked at the bottom of this page that you can check at any point; i try to always keep it updated.
☆ i only take payment through kofi - if anyone asks you to send it through other methods, that is not me. please make sure the user you're talking to is actually me before sending them any money.
☆ i do not offer refunds unless i'm unable to complete your commission. if this is the case, i will let you know as soon as possible.
terms of use
☆ commissions are for personal use only; they may not be used for any commercial purpose. you may print or make physical items out of the art, but those cannot be sold.
☆ please do not edit my work beyond cropping or resizing.
☆ please credit me. if you upload the art to toyhouse, credit my account there (@sunkenheavens).
☆ my work is not to be used for AI generation or NFTs.

on a hiatus from owed art indefinitely. will be reworking pricing before reopening; expect a new option or two added. symmetrical icons will likely retire.
going forward, shading will probably not be included by default anymore to preserve what's left of my sanity, but it will still be available as an add-on.
